I have obviously not been doing much with my blog lately. Mainly because I have not read much Tolkien last year (I however started listening to The Prancing Pony Podcast, so I´ve gotten my share of Tolkien consumption done anyway) since I was working abroad and did not bring any books (I borrowed other books at the library). At the end of last year though I started reading The Letters of J.R.R. Tolkien, a Swedish edition, and finished it in january. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to learn more about Tolkien himself, but also learn more about his thoughts and plans for many of his stories, particularly The Lord of the Rings and the Silmarillion.
I started reading The Lays of Beleriand at the start of this year and I really do not have the motivation to write up any blog posts about that book. I have other things to prioritise. I am afraid that my posts on Beowulf will never be finished and that I won´t do much more with regards to posting about The History of Middle-Earth. Maybe if my life gets a bit more stability this might happen, because I miss writing. I don´t do it a lot now that I am finished with university since a couple of years back.
Anyway, I decided to put up this little post with an illustration I finished today of Túrin and Glaurung!
